Negentropic Systems

NEGENTROPIC SYSTEMS / Operations Division

The universe tends
toward nothing.
Maintenance is a form of care.

On the nature
of the work

Everything decays when no one is watching it. Systems drift, certificates lapse, the backups quietly stop running, and the universe, left to its own devices, settles toward a flat and final nothing. This is not a metaphor. It is the second law of thermodynamics, and it is undefeated.

Holding back entropy takes energy. Someone has to be willing to spend that energy.

Usually that someone has coffee.

Curious what this looks like in practice — or what I'm looking for in return?
