Summary
I've spent over 17 years in internal IT roles where systems have real human impact: healthcare, education, government, and renewable energy. Environments where issues have real and human consequences. I have come to believe that reacting to problems and firefighting is a losing game. The work I find most valuable is understanding why problems happen and fixing them at the system level. The work I find most rewarding is providing people with systems and tools that make their lives better.
My background is in end-user computing and digital workplace infrastructure: endpoint management, identity and access, virtual desktop environments, and the operational foundations that make enterprise IT reliable at scale. I'm an early practitioner of Digital Employee Experience (DEX) monitoring; which I came to through hands-on work with ControlUp, and I believe real-time endpoint observability changes how you design infrastructure or approach support entirely.
My experience spans UW Medicine (a regional healthcare system with 20,000+ endpoints, and is HIPAA-regulated), ControlUp (enterprise VDI observability), and Lightsource bp (a renewable energy developer.) I'm at my best in environments that treat IT as a serious infrastructure function and value add and not just a ticket queue with a cost center.
San Francisco is home for now. Looking for hands-on IC roles in EUC infrastructure, digital workplace, or endpoint engineering. Willing to move for the right fit.
